About USA Pay Calculator
We build free, accurate paycheck calculators for every U.S. worker — no signup, no ads pushing you to buy software, no hidden fees. Just the numbers you need to understand your paycheck.
Our Mission
USA Pay Calculator was built with a single goal: give every U.S. worker a clear, accurate picture of their paycheck — without requiring an accounting degree or a paid subscription.
Accuracy First
Every calculator on this site is built directly from official IRS publications, state revenue department withholding tables, and agency-published rate schedules — not estimates or third-party summaries. When a state updates its withholding tables, we update our calculators to match.
Always Free
We believe every worker deserves to understand their paycheck, regardless of income. There are no paywalls, no free trials with hidden upgrades, and no email required to use any calculator on this site. Every tool is fully free, every time.
Privacy by Design
We never store your salary, income, or personal data. All calculator inputs run in your browser and are never sent to our servers. There is nothing to log, sell, or share — because we never collect it in the first place.
Built for Everyone
Whether you're on a phone in Atlanta, a laptop in Los Angeles, or a tablet in Topeka — our calculators are fully responsive and work on every device. No app download, no installation, just open and use.

How We Build Our Calculators
Every number in every calculator is sourced from an official government publication — not from a blog post, another calculator site, or a press release.
Official Sources Only
IRS Publication 15-T for federal withholding, state revenue agency withholding guides for each state, and agency-published benefit rate tables for SDI and PFL.
Updated Annually
Every January we update all calculators for the new tax year — new brackets, new standard deductions, updated FICA wage bases, and any state-level changes.
Math-Verified
All bracket calculations are cross-verified against official worked examples from IRS and state revenue agencies before any calculator is published.
In-Browser Calculation
All math runs in your browser using JavaScript — instantly, with no server round-trips, no delays, and no data ever leaving your device.
Our Data Sources
Federal tax data is sourced from IRS Publication 15-T (Federal Income Tax Withholding Methods) and official IRS Revenue Procedures for annual adjustments. Social Security wage base figures come from the Social Security Administration.
State tax data is sourced directly from each state's official revenue or taxation agency — including individual state withholding booklets, employer guides, and published rate tables. Where bracket revisions occur mid-year, we use the agency's official effective date.
Wage and salary context is informed by data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics program, which provides official occupational wage benchmarks used in our educational content.
